On 31 January 2025, we hosted our annual MEME (Massive Exoplanet MEME Exhibition) event with a series of special talks exploring the intersections of astrophysics, culture, and humour. Susan Blackmore opened the session with a provocative look at how memes—units of cultural transmission—might evolve beyond Earth. Julie Nováková followed with a reflection on how science fiction and art shape our understanding of exoplanets and speculative futures.
